Locks

Protect property, possessions and people with locks that are fit for purpose.

As one of the most basic security measures, good quality locks remain highly effective and provide reliable, low-cost ways to secure what matters to you. Locks take many shapes and forms for doors and windows. Most insurance policies now stipulate a 5-lever mortice deadlock to comply with British Standard 3621 for front and back doors together with key operated window locks.

Here is a great website which will help you identify whether your locks comply with the British Standards https://www.locksmiths.co.uk/faq/what-are-bs3621-british-standard-locks/

Qualified & Approved Lock and Safe Providers.

We and our subcontractors are fully qualified to the latest standards to supply and install all the locks we provide. As NSI Gold approved installers, we fit, commission and maintain locks to the highest possible industry standard.

Domestic Locks

Domestic locks are often the only line of defence against break-ins and thefts. Make sure your locks work as hard as possible to by choosing the right locks for your property. We can also provide secondary security measures such as door chains and viewers for added reassurance.

As well as traditional locks, we supply electrical locks allowing for keyless entry – for example using a keypad.

Commercial Locks

Ensure extra protection for stock and premises with industrial strength locks. Because commercial locks are made from high endurance materials, they are especially hardwearing.

In addition to traditional locks, you can choose keyless entry systems to minimise the number of keyholders and the associated cost.

Locks for use in the public sector

Choosing locks for use in the public sector can present a dilemma – how to ensure security while allowing staff to enter buildings as necessary. We provide a full range of locks, which when coupled with access control systems keep premises, equipment and people reliably secure.

As well as traditional locks and padlocks, we supply keypad, fob and biometric door entry systems which can provide greater transparency about who has entered buildings and when.

What types of locks are available?

We work with our specialist locksmith subcontractors to provide a full range of door and window locks including:

  • Five Lever British Standard Deadlock
  • Door chains
  • Night latches
  • Door viewers
  • Security bolts
  • Hinge bolts
How do I know which lock is right for my home or business?

The right locks for your situation will depend on a variety of factors such as the design of your windows and doors, where you are situated and the risk of break-ins. We will visit you to carry out a survey of your property or premises to identify areas which an intruder could penetrate.

We can then recommend the best locks for your circumstances, leaving you to make the final selection.

Which brands of locks does Absolute Fire & Security install?

We work with all the leading lock manufacturers and supply brands such as Assa, Adams Rite and ABUS Alpro.

As we’re not tied to a particular manufacturer, we can focus on finding the right solution for your unique situation.

What happens if something goes wrong with my locks?

We offer permanent full parts and labour warranties on all new locking arrangements that we supply and install. Therefore, if there is a problem with your safe and it is within warranty, we will repair it for you. We also offer a keyholder and 24-hour locksmith service, via our preferred subcontractor, should you need it.

Regular servicing and maintenance are essential in ensuring your locks continue to secure your property. For this reason, we offer a range of maintenance packages to cater for different budgets and different needs.

How much does a new lock cost?

There are a huge range of locks and locking systems available which makes it difficult to give you an example cost. However, we are always pleased to talk through the options that might suit your circumstances and then provide a cost indication. We will carry out a free property survey of your needs to understand your needs in full. We will then be able to provide full quotations with zero obligation so you can budget for your new safe in complete confidence.

To help you spread the cost of your purchase, you can pay for your new safe over a fixed period of instalments. Unlike some other security companies, you will own your safe once you have paid for it in full.
